Brno Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO) plays regularly in Besední Dům palace at Husova Street 20. The Brno philharmonic is often called Janáček’s orchestra, due to more than 300 performances of Leoš Janáček’s works in the last 50 years. The prices of tickets start at approx. 100 CZK (3.6€). During the Spilberk Festival, held every August, BPO is having several concerts at the Špilberk Castle Courtyard. Operas are performed several times a week in Janáčkovo divadlo at Dvořákova Street 11; the cheapest tickets can be bought for 50 CZK (1.8€).
