Clubbing in Brno
Probably the most renowned music club in Brno is Fléda . Its program is focused mostly on IDM („intelligent dance music“), hip hop and experimental rock, art films are screened several times a month. Fléda is located at Štefánikova Street 24 and can be best accessed by tram line 1 going from the main train station to Řečkovice, the nearest stop is called Hrnčířská (5th stop on the way from the tram station). 7. nebe at Jánská Street 9, Perpetuum at Rooseveltova 9, EL Sombrero at Zelnı trh Square 20 and Mandarin at Jakubské Square 6 are some of the best known clubs in the city centre where young people go to dance to modern music (trance, electronic, R’n'B). Mersey club at Minská Street 15 (accesible by trams # 3 and 11 from Česká Street, the nearest station is Burianovo náměstí) is focused on rock.
Entrance fees in clubs vary from free entrance to around 200 CZK, depending on the actual programme. 50 CZK (2 euro) is the usual fee. It is quite common that while men are charged, ladies have free entrance. Beverages are usually more expensive in clubs than in pubs, with prices of beer varying from 30 to 60 CZK.
